About Us

The Dailey Method - Northbrook will hold its Grand Opening Summer 2013! The studio is located in the heart of the Willow Festival Shopping Center at the intersection of Willow and Waukegan Road. The spa-like studio will offer two fitness studios, a fully staffed kids room, shower facilities with full amenties, and a wide variety of boutique inspired apparel. This location is owned by Leanne Kurtzweil and Katy Kerr.

Leanne is a lifelong fitness enthusiast with an athletic background; she played soccer at the University of Illinois and ran marathons before she found The Dailey Method. She was instantly drawn to the physical and mental benefits of the practice and has never felt better. After training under founder, Jill Dailey, and teaching in both the Bucktown and La Grange studios, Leanne brought this renowned exercise method to the North Shore in 2011. The studio quickly became a community of devoted students and Leanne is thrilled to have the opportunity to expand The Dailey Method to Northbrook!

Before teaching classes and opening The Dailey Method North Shore, Leanne had a successful ten-year career in Commercial Finance at GE Capital. She graduated with a degree in finance from the University of Illinois.

Katy has always had a passion for fitness and health and started teaching at The Dailey Method Bucktown in 2009 . After graduating from the University of Alabama and earning her Masters in Counseling Education from Loyola University (Maryland), she moved to the Chicagoland area in early 2006 where she first discovered the different barre disciplines. An avid runner, with an extensive background in competitive dance and swimming, she was seeking an alternative exercise to build strength, lengthen muscles and increase her level of core conditioning. She has had two children since she started teaching in Bucktown, and credits her strength and energy throughout her pregnancies to The Dailey Method.

Katy has enjoyed every facet of teaching and watching students minds, bodies and spirits transform as a result of their practice. Along with Leanne, she is excited to introduce The Dailey Method to the Northbrook/Glenview community!
